Subscription & refund policy

All prices are USD. Pro yearly saves 20%; Team yearly saves about 14.29% against monthly billing. Team is billed per user with at least 3 seats; add seats anytime with prorated charges disclosed before confirmation. One named person per seat. This is digital SaaS delivery: Open the beta editor instantly. Browser extensions coming soon. The beta editor is available now; paid activation requires separate confirmation.

For a paid trial activated through a separate checkout: No charge today. Your first charge happens after 7 days. We'll email a reminder 48 hours before. Cancel anytime during the trial and pay nothing. Beta access requests do not collect a payment method or authorize billing. A paid Pro or Team trial begins only after a separate payment setup and explicit confirmation of the rate and renewal terms. The exact first charge date and amount are shown before payment authorization. Submitting the beta request alone does not activate a paid trial. Free has no paid trial or subscription charge.

Subscriptions renew monthly or yearly until canceled. We send a renewal-preview email 5 days before each charge showing the amount, period, and cancellation link; a receipt follows successful payment. The separate trial reminder is sent 48 hours before the trial ends. Both notices apply when a paid subscription has been activated.

Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel, or email . No cancellation fee. Cancel during the trial and pay nothing. Otherwise retain access through the paid period without further renewal. Your text remains exportable for 30 days after cancellation or access termination; request an export by email.

Within 30 days of the first paid charge, request a full, no-questions-asked refund by email. This includes the full yearly payment. After 30 days, yearly subscribers may request a prorated refund for unused full months. Monthly periods after the first-charge window are nonrefundable except where law requires. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

Email with your account email and invoice reference; never send full card details. Approved refunds go to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. The bank may influence posting time.

Monthly → yearly starts immediately with a prorated credit for unused monthly time. Yearly → monthly begins when the current annual term expires. The confirmation shows the effective date, credit, and new amount before you approve.

QUILL10 reduces only the first paid monthly period by 10%. Pro’s first paid month is $13.50, then $15.00/month. Team’s discount applies per seat for the first monthly period. It does not discount a yearly invoice or combine with yearly pricing.

We email at least 30 days before changes. Existing subscribers keep the previous rate for one additional month after a change takes effect. Your notice includes the applicable renewal date and cancellation instructions.

If a charge fails, we retry after 3 days. A 7-day grace period retains features while you update payment details. We send 2 email reminders before suspension. These notices and retries apply to activated paid subscriptions.

Prices exclude applicable taxes. Paid checkout calculates tax from your billing location and shows the tax-inclusive total before authorization. Beta access has no charge. Tax on a future subscription is determined from billing details before payment authorization.
