End-user license agreement

grants you a personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the web editor and browser extension during an active account or subscription. Team licensing is per seat: one named member per seat, at least 3 seats. No sharing across people or teams.

The Free plan includes core checks and 10 AI suggestions daily on 1 device. The Free license may be discontinued with notice where required. No paid functionality or continued free availability is promised.

You retain all rights in your own text. You grant ClearQuill a limited license to process it to provide suggestions. We permit you to incorporate suggestions into your work subject to law and third-party rights. Suggestions may be nonunique and may not independently qualify for copyright. AI suggestions are for reference — the final word is always yours. By default, your text is NOT used to train our models (opt-in available in Settings). Processing uses proprietary + third-party AI models.

Do not resell, sublicense, reverse engineer or decompile the service except where law permits, exceed licensed seats, share accounts, bypass access limits, or publish text-based benchmarking without written permission. Do not submit text you lack permission to process.

The service requires an internet connection; no offline service is included. We may update features and extension compatibility. Planned service interruptions are notified by email beforehand; urgent security or legal interruptions are notified as soon as reasonably possible. Access may be suspended for material breach or overdue payment under the subscription policy.

The software and AI suggestions are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” to the extent permitted by law. Our aggregate liability is limited to fees paid in the preceding 3 months, except for liability that cannot be limited by law. Mandatory consumer remedies, fraud, and willful misconduct are not excluded.

The paid license ends when the subscription expires or is lawfully terminated. A Free license continues only if eligible and available. Your text has a 30-day export period after access ends; request an export by email. Legal deletion or security restrictions may apply.
